Trailer ‘The Man Who Fell to Earth’: the sci-fi series where Chiwetel Ejiofor will try to save our world already has a release date


The full trailer for ‘The Man Who Fell to Earth’, a new sci-fi series coming soon to Showtime, has been unveiled. Chiwetel Ejiofor plays an alien who fled his dying planet and seeks to save Earth from the same fate.

A new savior from outer space

Early last year it was revealed that there would soon be a new adaptation of ‘The Man Who Fell to Earth’, albeit with some twists in store. “The Man Who Fell to Earth” is the new sci-fi series that will premiere on Showtime next time April 24and is inspired by both the novel by Walter Tevis and the film with David Bowie in 1976, with which it seems to have some continuity.

Chiwetel Ejiofor directs the cast of the series as Faradayan alien who has been called to our planet and according to the official synopsis “comes to a turning point in human evolution and must confront his own past to determine his future”.

As we can see in the trailer, Faraday is determined to keep Earth from withering like his own planet. At this point, Justin Falls comes into play, the character of Naomi Harris, a scientist who discovers the arrival of the alien and decides to help him in his mission. Since things can’t be that simple, several different factions discover that there is an alien on Earth and attempt to capture it for their own benefit.

Rounding out the main cast of ‘The Man Who Fell to Earth’, we also have night bill, who plays Thomas Newton, the alien Bowie who came to life in the original film. The series will also feature jimmy simpson and kate mugrewwhich we can also see in the trailer.
