Tomorrowland expands on the fantasy themes of its festivals in a series of novels, currently in development.
The Belgian festival giant has teamed up with literary agency Janklow & Nesbit and United Talent Agency for on-screen book options for the fantasy fiction trilogy, announcement June 22.
According to agent Paul Lucas, Tomorrowland “managed to successfully link this unique magic with their core values of unity, hope, love, nature and health in an enchanting first novel of a trilogy”.
“Every year, Tomorrowland presents a new festival theme, brought to life via a beautiful trailer, on the legendary Mainstage and throughout the festival site,” Tomorrowland founder Michiel Beers said in a statement. “As the stories of each theme cannot be fully expressed during the festival, we have dreamed for years of taking more time to develop them.”
That’s the only clue to the show’s content at this time, though Lucas intends the trilogy to have crossover appeal with fans of fantasy fiction as well as loyal Tomorrowland festival-goers.
Tomorrowland 2022’s flagship festival takes place in just over two weeks, from July 15-29 in Boom, Belgium. The complete calendar of more than 800 artists is now available.
Tomorrowland will also be expanding this summer with a new program of production classes and DJ education for children and adults. Find more information here.
