The science fiction series “Foundation” to be released in September

Apple TV + has impressed with a number of productions before, but the question now is whether the lavish adaptation of Isaac Asimov’s groundbreaking book might be the best yet.

Author Isaac Asimov’s “corporate trilogy” has inspired “Star Wars” and many other science fiction stories over the years. But it’s only now that the book will have its lavish adaptation, directed by writer and presenter David S. Gower (“Batman Begins”, “The Dark Knight”) on Apple TV +.

The foundation takes place over 1,000 years in an alternate sci-fi universe, when scientist Dr. Hari Seldon predicts that the giant empire will collapse – after being ruled by clones of Cleons for centuries. To save and preserve civilization, Seldon and some of his staunch supporters set out to create a “business” … which is underestimated by the clones who fear losing control of all the planets in the universe.

With Jared Harris as Harry Seldon and Lee Pace as Brother Day. Actors Lou Llobell, Leah Harvey, Laura Birn, Terrence Mann, Cassian Bilton and Alfred Enoch also appear on camera during the first season.

The first three episodes of “Foundation” will be released on September 24 on Apple TV +. The first season will consist of a total of ten episodes.
