Independent publisher 404 Ink has launched the next wave of its Inklings non-fiction series, fresh from the series’ shortlist for Marketing Strategy of the Year at the 2022 British Book Awards.
Following the 2021 list, the eight new titles aim to “capture big ideas in compact packages” and will be released from summer 2022 through March 2023, before shifting to releasing one title every two months. A pre-order countryside will go live today (April 4) on Kickstarter.
The series launched last year after a successful crowdfunding campaign that raised £20,000, backed by Creative Scotland.
“After setting Inklings in motion at the start of the pandemic, it’s been really exciting to see the series come to life and see what the writers and their work have achieved,” said Heather McDaid, co-founder and publishing director. “We’re thrilled to be back with the second wave of the series, each promising to be as insightful, vital and informative as their predecessors and to continue to build on the brilliant launch titles. We look forward to showcasing readers our new authors and their writings, and remain equally grateful that such a talented group trusts us with their work and their stories.
