Eva Longoria to produce sci-fi series

Los Angeles (United States), September 20 (EFE). Eva Longoria will produce a science fiction series based on the book “Sal & Gabi Break the Universe” by Cuban-American author Carlos Hernandez.

The project, which chronicles the adventures of Sal Fedon, a teenager capable of traveling in time and space who aims to revive his mother, reports the specialist newspaper Deadline, will be led by the actress and businesswoman.

Longoria will produce this series with Ben Spector (“Grand Hotel”) and Disney Branded Television, although it is not currently acquired by any television network or streaming platform.

In addition to her acting career, Longoria made her directorial debut on Near Horizon with “Flamin ‘Hot,” a film about the creator of the popular flavor Cheetos.

“I think Latinos should go behind the scenes to create more opportunities for our community. We have to be directors, writers and producers, ”the director said in an interview with Efe last June.

Among other projects, Longoria will open a school for students interested in film next year and will have partners like George Clooney and Kerry Washington to that end.

In addition, the businesswoman has strongly penetrated the football field and among her investments in the sport stands out Angel City FC, a women’s team that will debut next year in Los Angeles accompanied by other entertainment personalities such than Natalie.
