Since breaking Bad concluded its final season on AMC in 2013, actor Aaron Paul found success on both TV and film. True to his authentic credentials as a dramatic actor, including his three Primetime Emmy Award wins, Paul has signed on to play a variety of characters in projects like The path, The truth must be toldand Westworld. Providing the voice of Todd Chavez on the Netflix animated series BoJack Rider also reflected his range as a performer in addition to his off-screen production skills. However, his latest move could turn heads as Paul joins a popular sci-fi series currently in production.

According VarietyAaron Paul is set to join the growing A-list cast of the sixth season of black mirror. The anthology series will see an influx of stars come on board for its final season, including Josh Hartnet, Paapa Essiedu, Kate Mara and Zazie Beetz. Mara, in particular, is a notable name to come out of this new cast list as she starred in Netflix’s first original series, Card castle. Whereas black mirror has been a hit for Netflix since being reformatted from its UK origins, the show hasn’t produced a new episode since 2019. As Giant monster robot reported earlier this year, the sci-fi series has been renewed for a sixth season after the long hiatus, but it’s unclear when the new season will air.

black mirror fans would be quick to point out that this isn’t the first time Aaron Paul has been involved with the show. Paul once provided the voice of Gamer691 in the season four premiere episode “USS Callister,” which saw Captain Robert Daly’s character Jesse Plemons presiding over a crew in a dark and twisted parody of star trek. It should be noted that Plemons co-starred with Paul on breaking Badas well as his next film, El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie. With Aaron Paul contributing to a final season of black mirror, TVLine reports that a casting choice like Paul’s might not be a coincidence and that a follow-up episode of “USS Callister” could be coming in season six of the show.

Aaron Paul is just one of the famous faces to grace the small screen to keep black mirror continues on Netflix. Many stars have made appearances on the show since its debut in 2011, and it seems that more and more actors are gradually interested in joining the show with each new season. Since its inception, audiences have watched Bryce Dallas Howard, Anthony Mackie, Hayley Atwell, Letitia Wright, Andrew Scott, Jon Hamm, Miley Cyrus, and Daniel Kaluuya, to name a few. Wright, Scott and Jesse Plemons have all received Primetime Emmy Award nominations for their performances on the show, though no actor has yet won the statue. black mirror has been an international sensation for Netflix, which will be an exceptional platform for Aaron Paul to show off his talents on the streamer.
